My favourite SS14 trends!

As you may have noticed from my recent posts, I am getting a bit excited about spring. Leaving the weather on a side, I am really looking forward to wear brighter colours and say goodbye to big (yet cosy) coats.
This upcoming season comes with many new and not so new trends. I absolutely love some of them (and hate some others but let's talk about positivity here) and they will definitely be seen in my wardrobe very soon!
Big Bows

I am the biggest fan of bows and I've been for the past year and a half. I think a bow can make any outfit look 10 times better and it's a good way to take the hair out of your face.
This next season you will see anything from big outrageous bows to cute little ribbons.

Sportswear

Now, gym clothes are to be worn any-day anywhere. However, they do have a stylish twist that makes them something more than gym clothes. A cheap way to get into this trend is by pairing any regular outfit with your trainers!

Brands everywhere

Clothes with brand names written on them are back. Simple tees with Céline, Louis Vuitton or any well-known brand on the front are the most seen trend on catwalks. Only problem? White tees have become deadly expensive.

Outfit Idea: Sprinting into Spring

Hello there! London has been pretty nice lately, we had two full days of sun, that doesn't happen very often. This lovely weather makes me even more excited about summer (which is quite far away yet but who cares!?). Even though summer is no coming anytime soon, spring is! In less than a month winter will be gone (I'm not so sure about winter weather though...).

When the sun is out and everything is 100 times more beautiful I love leaving my burgundy and black clothes in my closet and wear some happy colours. Here you have a lovely spring outfit that you could pair with a black jacket if it's too cold to wear only a jumper!

Skincare Routine!

Hello there! After months of trying to get into a skincare routine I've finally made it! My skin has never been bad so I never took care of it but I decided it was time to look after it as it was starting to get worse (probably due to my student diet... chocolate is too cheap). Here's what I've been using for the last few months:
Right before going to bed or after I've taken a shower I use my Nivea Make-Up remover to remove any make up left as I hate when you wake up with panda eyes... not very cute, huh?

I then use my Clear and Clear exfoliating daily wash to get rid of any dead cells. It makes my skin feel so soft and fresh, it's amazing. And it's not harsh on your skin at all so you can use it twice everyday if you want to. Then, I use my Clear&Clear Blackhead Clearing. This is a litte more harsh on my skin so I wouldn't recommend using it twice a day. When I first bought it I could really see a difference on my nose, I had less blackhead but I can't really see it now. So I am on the hunt of a new product to get rid of my beautiful blackheads!

Most days I use my Simple Toner after exfoliating my skin, I don't really know what toners are for to  be honest but it makes my skin feel fresh and more tight. If any of you know what they do please let me know, would be quite useful! haha!

Finally I apply my Simple Rich Moisturiser. This is a very thick and rich one and I only use it right before going to bed as it leaves my skin all shiny but it really does its job.

Get the look: Kendall Jenner

Hello everybody! Lately I've been obsessing (even more) with KUWTK, I basically watch it 24/7. It's rather bad. Oh well!

I like all the Kardashians and the Jenners but my favourites are with no doubt Kendall and Khloe. Kendall has such an amazing sense of style and I kind of wish I could have all her clothes. Obviously, though, I'm pretty sure I can't afford it. Valentino, Chanel, Louis Vuitton? More like Zara, Topshop and Primark.

I decided to do some research on Kendall's style and give you guys some similar (and much more affordable) outfits so that you can look as cool as the coolest Jenner! There is a more casual outfit and then a rather formal one.

This first outfit is very casual and not very hard to recreate, as she's wearing pretty much basics. All the items I chose are quite cheap except for the sunnies which are Ray-Ban but you could probably get similar ones for a cheaper price. As you can see the look is very very similar to Kendall's, almost identical and I'm pretty sure it is much cheaper.

This second outfit is on the dressier side but it's still quite simple and easy to recreate. I thought I wouldn't but I managed to find a skirt which is almost identical to the one she wore! SUCCESS! The cropped blazer was harder to find, if you don't have a cropped blazer and don't want to buy one a leather jacker would look amaizng as well! To dress the look down a little bit you could wear flats instead of heels or even a pair of Converse!

Healthy Breakfast Ideas!

Hey there! Lately, my diet hasn't been what I would call healthy so I started watching a lot of "Healthy Breakfast Ideas for school" videos on YouTube, because YouTube is my answer for everything. After watching millions of videos I came up with some healthy and yummy breakfast ideas. If you want to find out how to have a yummy breakfast, keep reading!!

Greek Yoghurt: Obviously, we a are not eating plain greek yoghurt for breakfast. I love adding some fruit like sliced strawberries, blueberries, sliced bananas, etc and some granola or corn flakes to keep me full. I also tend to add a few almonds and top it up with some honey. It is very easy to make and it tastes delicious!

Porridge/Oatmeal: This is probably the easiest out of them all. I've been loving Quaker's Oat So Simple oats, basically you take a sachet, you pour it in a bowl, add some milk and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. That's it, it literally takes 2 minutes and you have a nice porridge to eat. I like having porridge for breakfast as it keeps me full until lunch time. Here I added some honey that ended up looking weird but it tasted so good! I eat Quaker's Oat So Simple Apple and Blueberries oats, best oats ever! They even have some apple and a few blueberries in the oats! So good!

I know it looks rather disgusting but trust me, it is amazing!
Toast: If you are more of a 'sandwich' person you will love this one. I like having two toasts with Light Philadelphia, raspberry jam and hazelnuts

or almonds. Yes, it sounds a bit weird but it tastes amazing! Just spread some cheese as it was butter, add as much jam as you like and then sprinkle some sliced almonds or walnuts, whatever you prefer and you're done!

What do you usually have for breakfast?

Spring Trends || Colours

Hello there! The weather has been quite miserable lately and I'm 300% done with it, I honestly feel like winter is over and it is spring time... until I look out the window or go outside. However, let's pretend spring is closer than what it actually is and that the weather is nice.

One of the things that I like the most about spring is that you can wear non-dark colours without being spottable from 100km. Last year, spring was all about pastels and neons, this year the things have changed a little bit but my favourited trend (pastels) is not going anywhere!

If you want to know which colours have been the most popular int the runaways for the upcoming season, keep reading!

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails || Review

Well hello everybody ( in Tyler Oakley's voice)! A few days ago, my order from feeluique.com finally arrived (after being delayed one week for some unknown reason) aaaaand guess what it was? Yes! A lip gloss and a nail polish from Tanya's collection. I was so excited to try them out and see how good they were! As these are rather recent products I thought I would write a review in case any of you are thinking of buying either a nail polish or a lip gloss (or both!) but are not quite sure.

Okay, let's start with the lip gloss. I've never quite liked lip glosses, they are too shiny for me but, of course, I had to try Tanya's. The lip glosses are all £6,99 and you can get them here, also, if I'm not wrong they will be available in Superdrug soon. There are 12 different colours, from sparkly pink to dark red.  The one I got is in 'Vampire Kiss', it's the perfect name is it literally looks like blood.

To be honest, I don't really like the lip gloss, I feel like it's too thick and it feels 'cakey' (if a lip gloss can ever be cakey... well, you get what I mean).  I have to say though, that I've never liked lip glosses, in fact this is the first lip gloss I've ever bought so maybe lip glosses are supposed to be like that... Colour-wise, it is a gorgeous dark red and very very pigmented. You don't need any lipstick underneath, this acts as a lipstick. Trust me, it is extremely pigmented, even more than some lipsticks. One coat and you are good to go!

I also have to say it smells deliciously delicious, I want to it every time I smell it. It's a serious problem.

Now, let's talk about the nail polish. The nail polishes are £5,99 and there are 10 very different colours, I got it in the shade 'Midnight Sparkles'.

In case you are not aware, I'm obsessed with nail polishes, I even have a nail polish wishlist. Sad, I know. When I saw it on the Internet I thought it was a sparkly black/very dark grey colour but turns out it is a dark purple sparkly colour. When I first got it I was kind of disappointed because I've never been a fan or dark purple for nail polish, on fact I don't own any, but when I tried it on it looked gorgeous! It's so dark it's almost black but it has that purple effect, it's a very pretty colour.

Also, it doesn't chip very easily. It lasted unchipped on my nails for about 3 to 4 days (only one coat and without top coat) and taking into account that I have to wash my dishes every day and I had been working with wires and building electrical circuits without gloves (chemistry stuff) I think it's a decent amount of time.

Have any of you tried anything from Tanya's new make up line?

Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty

Hello everybody! A few days ago, the lovely  Katy from what Katy did (you should definitely check out her blog) tagged me to do this tag and I thought I would give it a go!

Source: WeHeartIt (edited by me)

GREED - what is your most expensive beauty product? What's your most inexpensive?

My most expensive beauty product is probably my MAC lipstick. I think it's about £15 so it's not even that expensive but I don't really like spending a lot on make up as I feel bad afterwards so I don't have many expensive things.  My most inexpensive beauty product has to be my Essence blush that I got for probably around 1€, which is quite cheap for such a gorgeous blush.

WRATH - what beauty products do you have a love / hate relationship with?

BB creams, I like them because they feel light and moisturise my skin but I feel like they don't give me enough coverage but I wish they did! So, basically, I love them because they feel nice, if only they were like foundations!

GLUTTONY - what product do you have the most of in your beauty collection?

Do nail polishes count  as  a beauty product? if they do then, nail polishes, I must have around 20, I don't really know. If they don't, then I would have to say...  I don't really have many products, probably lipsticks? or eyeshadows? I don't know to be honest, I have like 5 lipsticks and 7 eyeshadows  which is not a lot but oh well!

SLOTH - what beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

Eyeliner. It's not even that hard and it only takes me about a minute but when it's 8am and all I want is to go back to bed I really can't be bothered to try and 'draw' a straight line.

PRIDE - what beauty product gives you the most confidence?

Foundation, I feel like after you've applied some your face literally gets 100 times better!  Also, I think mascara makes a huge difference! It makes your eyes pop and look more awake.

LUST - what's top of your wishlist?

The Naked 3 palette, the colours are soo pretty and I've heard anything but good things about all the Naked palettes  but they are so expensive I would feel bad if I bought one. So, if any of you lovely people want to  buy me one you are more than welcome to do so! haha

ENVY - which beauty blogger are you most jealous of?

I love Zoella, she's also a youtuber (if you know her you'll probably do because of her youtube channel and not because of her blog). I just think she's so cute and fun, and hyper sometimes as well! Also, it's impressive how far she's made it just talking to a camera. I really admire her!

Well, and that's it! I tag you all  and let me know if you decide to do it!

5 things I want to do before I die

Hey there! I think we've always asked ourselves what we would do if we could do anything we wanted. If we had all the money, time and energy we wanted.  I've had quite a lot of homework and revision to do lately so I've had a lot of time to think about what I would love to do (anything is better than working). This is what I would do:

Travel with my friends. I love travelling and even though I travel quite often with my family I would love to go on a trip with my friends, everybody who has done it says it's been fantastic

Live in L.A: As much as I absolutely love London, I don't see myself living here for the rest of my life. After being here for 4 months I'v realised how much I like warm weather and that is something you definitely not get anywhere in the UK. After getting my degree I would love to live, even if it's just for a few months (or years) in Los Angeles. The city seem so lovely and so does the weather! Plus, cool people live there ;)

Eat Chinese food in China. Chinese food is probably the best food ever so it would be amazing if I could eat authentic Chinese food. I mean, in Italy you find the best pizzas so in China you will find the best Chinese food, right?

Have my own  make-up line. That is probably my biggest dream and also the hardest to achieve. I love make-up and having my own make-up line would be just out of this world. Honestly, make-up is the reason why I decided to study Chemistry at uni.

Meet One Direction. Say whatever you want to say, I don't care. I love One Direction with all my heart, I've loved them since 2010.  I don't wanna meet them to fangirl and take pictures and all that stuff, I want to get to know every single one of them as a person, as a human being.
